FORGIVENESS
It is our attachment to their actions that gets us in trouble. We attach our emotional stability to how they act toward us. When they are kind, life is good. If they are mean to us, our self-esteem tumbles. In a sense, we are riding a rollercoaster of emotions controlled by those around us.
QUIETUDE
Once we learn to silence the noise, we may begin to hear the words of our inner voice. This voice originates in our heart and only speaks words of love, kindness, and compassion. All the other voices have been created by our ego which is always willing to tell us we are not good enough, or how we will never measure up.
THE MONSTER
When we hate we are only perpetuating more hate, giving strength and energy to hate. But when we choose unconditional love, no matter how difficult it may be, we expand the flow of love around the globe.
SYMPTOMS
If we claim to have love in our heart, then a symptom of this will be expressing kindness and compassion to those we meet on the street. If we are harbor anger toward others, this is a symptom of the disconnection with the love found at the core of our being. If we are honest with ourselves it will be easy to see. Yet it can be too painful to look within ourselves to get an honest answer.
GUARANTEE
All of us want a guarantee. We want our partner to guarantee their love for us until the end. We want guaranties we will stay healthy, although we may not be taking care of ourselves. We even want a guarantee when we begin our inner journey. With no guarantee of connecting with our true selves, we may not want begin. We may also want a guarantee that we will not feel any pain as we peel back the layers of our false persona.
