Deep within us is an eternal source of unconditional love. Whether we know of this love or feel this love, it is there. No matter our mood, or what type of person we are, this love is always with us. The nicest people on earth, as well as the most toxic, carry this love within themselves. Yet for some reason we may never experience the depth of this love.
Before we can connect with this love, we must sift through the negativity we carry within our consciousness. You see, this love is always there, it’s just buried beneath our self-doubt, our negative self-talk, and the identity we have created based on the opinions of those around us.
Oftentimes we look outside ourselves for love. In doing so we expose ourselves to the negativity of the outside world. We are asked to fit into a society that has not connected with its own source of unconditional love. This causes great discomfort because we cannot find our true selves in a world without love.
The challenge of connecting with our unconditional love is that our view of the world will change. As we walk through our day loving ourselves, we know of the beauty of this love, yet we are sad because others have not acknowledged this love. We live to the fullness of who we are, doing our best to encourage others to connect with their own self-love. But they may be too afraid to journey within for fear of who they might find.
Imagine a journey through a thick, dense forest, we can’t see the path ahead clearly yet we know the destination. We know that when we arrive we will be emersed in unconditional love. This is what a true, honest journey within feels like, we can’t see far, we may get frustrated, we may also become scared because we think we are lost or alone. Yet through all this, we know with every fiber of our being that living a life of unconditional love is the destination.
This is not a love of power, or a love of our ego, it’s not even a love that asks others to praise us. It is a love that is pure, true, and steadfast in it’s commitment to us and even those who seek to control others through fear and intimidation. Unconditional love has no boundaries, limitations, or restrictions on who can be loved, and whom cannot.
Unconditional love is within all of us. If we are living by this love, it is our responsibility to share this love with those who are separated from this love. Love breeds more love. If we want to experience love in the world, we must be more loving. Is it always easy? Of course not, our ego often wants revenge, or some type of punishment for those who take advantage of us or others.
Yet we must learn we cannot strengthen unconditional love through negative thoughts or actions. To build love in our community we must embody love in our thoughts, words, and actions. This all begins with loving ourselves. When we are at peace with who we are, we will be at peace with the world around us, making it easier to love unconditionally.

I hope you will be offering this again in the fall! I would be ery interested to join! Also interested in examples of unconditional love that is not just toward ourselves but with how we live others. I definitely would be interested in that also!
Hello Evelyn,
Oftentimes our judgement of ourselves and others blocks how we experience love. To love unconditionally is to free ourselves from the negativity of judgement. At the core of this love is accepting that everyone is doing the best they can given the challenges they are facing.
I’ll keep you posted about future workshops and other events.
Peace and well-being, Paul
Hi Paul, this is honestly just what I needed to read at this moment.
Really well written and as I stated in the FB comment box full of wisdom.
Today I am was so feeling the anger folks are carrying around, instead of looking inward.
It also reminded me priority 101 don’t forget Love never abandons us.
Thank you 🤍💜🤍
Hello Caroline,
Thanks for your kind words.
It’s always amazing how we have to remind ourselves to love ourselves and those who challenge us. There are lessons in every situation we encounter, most of the time the lesson is to love unconditionally.
Peace and well-being, Paul
